 Lake Wind Advisory 
Statement as of 11:53 am CDT on May 20, 2008


... Lake Wind Advisory in effect until 7 PM CDT this evening...

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a lake Wind
Advisory... which is in effect until 7 PM CDT this evening.

A weak frontal boundary will move across the area through the
afternoon hours. Winds will generally increase to around 15 mph
with gusts as high as 25 mph through much of the afternoon.
Caution should be exercised if boating on area lakes today.

A lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop
on area lakes. Small boats will be especially prone to capsizing.

NOAA Weather Radio transmitters serving much of central Alabama
continue to experience outages... specifically the transmitters
affected are Oneonta and Montgomery..every effort to restore service is
continuing.
