Statement as of 8:04 PM PDT on May 16, 2008


The Flood Warning continues for
the Naches River near Naches
* until further notice.
* At 6 PM Friday the stage was 16.8 feet
* moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 17.0 feet
* the river is forecast to rise above flood stage around midnight
tonight and continue to rise to near 19.7 feet by late Monday
morning.
* At 20.0 feet... there will be major flooding of residences along the
river from Cliffdell downstream through Naches to the north end of
Yakima. There will be significant flooding in pastures and
Orchards.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Naches River near Cliffdell
* from Saturday afternoon to Thursday afternoon.
* At 7 PM Friday the stage was 30.3 feet
* minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 31.0 feet
* the river is forecast to rise above flood stage by Saturday
afternoon. The river will remain above flood stage... cresting at
around 31.8 feet early Monday morning... then fall below flood stage
by late Thursday morning.

The Flood Watch continues for
the Yakima river near Parker
* through Sunday night.
* At 8 PM Friday the stage was 7.6 feet.
* Minor flooding is possible as the river is expected to rise to
near flood stage by Sunday evening. The river will remain
around this level through Monday and then slowly fall.
