Synopsis...cold upper trough will continue east today. Ridge of 
high pressure will bring dry weather and a warming trend through 
the week.

Discussion...ridge over West Coast moving slowly eastward. Low 
still pulling off to the east with nothing left over Utah except 
some lingering middle level clouds and possibly a shower or two over 
the northern mountains. Updated forecast to remove mention of 
showers and to allow freeze warning to expire. Next concern for 
the state will be gap winds over the southwest tonight. Winds will 
be strong and the question will be how strong. Will decide with 
afternoon package whether or not to issue a wind headline.

Aviation...ceilings at kslc likely to remain below 6kft...with a 20 
percent chance of brief MVFR ceilings...through 18z. Ceilings are expected 
to lift/dissipate by early afternoon. Winds at the terminal expected 
to remain northwest throughout the day...before a southerly drainage 
wind redevelops by 03z.
