Synopsis...
high pressure off the New England coast will maintain dry weather
across the region through Saturday. A weak cold front will cross
the upper Ohio Valley Sunday and Sunday night...bringing a chance
of showers and thunderstorms.

&&

Near term /through Friday/...
surface ridge will keep conditions dry through Friday. Lows
tonight will be close to normal with temperatures warming well
into the 80s Friday afternoon.

&&

Short term /Friday night through Sunday/...
surface high will move further off the New England coast with
southerly flow bringing increasing moisture into the forecast
area over the weekend. Expect rain free conditions to continue through
Saturday.

Short wave trough will move eastward across the northern tier
states into the Great Lakes...with associated cold front pushing
into the upper Ohio Valley Sunday.

Plan to go with slight chance probability of precipitation for showers and storms for the
northwestern half of the forecast area Saturday night and then
chance probability of precipitation all zones Sunday.

&&

Long term /Sunday night through Thursday/...
cold front should exit the region by late Sunday night. Will keep
chance probability of precipitation all areas early Sunday night then taper to slight
chance northwest after midnight. Flat ridging builds back over
the region Monday through Wednesday for mainly dry and mild
conditions. Chance for precipitation on Thursday as low pressure system
comes out the of the southeast portion of the country.
Temperatures will average near seasonal norms.

&&
