The National Weather Service in Missoula has issued a

* Flood Warning for
the Yaak river near Troy
* from after midnight tomorrow until Thursday afternoon.
* At 10pm Friday the stage was... 7.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
* This river is forecast to rise above flood stage around after
midnight tomorrow... and is expected to crest at 8.28 ft around
6 PM Monday.
* At 8.5 feet... flooding affects low lying areas adjacent to the
river including homes and access roads. Sylvanite Ranger station
Road and upper Ford Road affected by flooding.

The National Weather Service in Missoula has issued a

* Flood Warning for
the Fisher river near Libby
* from late this afternoon until Friday morning.
* At 12am Saturday the stage was... 6.9 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 7.5 feet.
* This river is forecast to rise above flood stage late this
afternoon... and is expected to crest at 8.3 ft around 6 PM Sunday
afternoon.
* At 9.0 feet... flooding affects low lying homes and roads adjacent
to the river. Flooding affects Fisher River Road and several flood
prone areas along the Road.

... Flood Watch remains in effect through Sunday afternoon...

The Flood Watch continues for

* portions of north central Idaho and northwest Montana...
including the following counties... in north central Idaho...
Clearwater and Idaho. In northwest Montana... Lincoln.

* Through Sunday afternoon

* unseasonably warm temperatures combined with above normal snow
pack will result in continued rapid snow melt across northern
Idaho and portions of northwest Montana through Sunday. Smaller
streams and tributaries will react quickly to expected snow melt
as temperatures warm into the 80s and lower 90s. There is a
potential for small streams and tributaries to exceed their
banks resulting in minor flooding.

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.

a Flood Warning.

For the Flathead river at Columbia Falls, the latest stage was 9.8
feet at 12 am Saturday. Flood stage is 14.0 feet. Minor flooding is
forecast with the river rising to be above flood stage around 10 am
Monday. The river is expected to fall below flood stage around 1 PM
Wednesday.

For the Middle Fork of the Flathead river near West Glacier the
latest stage was 6.3 feet at 12 am Saturday. Flood stage is 10.0
feet. Minor flooding is forecast with the river rising to be above
flood stage around 6 PM Monday. The river is expected to fall below
flood stage around 2 am Wednesday.
