Area forecast discussion

Discussion...a series of impulses moving through the base of the 
longwave trough covering the eastern portion of the country helping to 
enhance thunderstorm activity over US today and activity currently to our northwest 
over the NE Gulf. Remaining showers and thunderstorms over our eastern and 
southern land zones winding down at this time with loss of heating. Would 
ordinarily remove probability of precipitation/weather for overnight...but we're watching shower 
and thunderstorm activity over the NE Gulf which is gradually approaching 
our northern coast. Although coverage and intensity trends with this 
activity has been on the decrease last few scans...will keep a 20 
pop along and west of the i75 corridor for the rest of the overnight 
hours. Otherwise...rest of forecast unchanged.

Aviation...although VFR conditions should prevail through the rest 
of the evening and overnight...some brief periods of of MVFR are 
still possible through midnight especially over fmy and rsw. Showers 
and ceilings around 3000-4000 feet should be the main concern over 
tpa...srq and pie...while fmy and rsw may still see a brief 
thunderstorm or two until midnight. Winds become light overnight. 
Afternoon scattered thunderstorms will develop again across much of 
the area on Thursday mainly between 17-22z.

Marine...other than localized wind gusts due to thunderstorms...marine 
conditions will remain fair overnight.
